Description
Anthony 🇳🇴
It is summer time in central Norway on the Rena river, during mid summer the insect life is prolific and for a relatively short period millions of insects hatch and breed along the waterway. The local birds home in on to this feast, as do the fish lying beneath the water. As the insects find the shore line and trees to lay their eggs the trout home in onto this rich food source and hunt to fill their stomachs before winter sets in again.
Many large grayling and trout like to find sheltered spots to feed in and often prove to be almost impossible for an angler to catch. Jungle fishing for large fish on light tippets in confined spaces is always a true test for a fly fisherman hunting a trophy fish.
This video shows Nero’s patience and perseverance eventually pay off after many attempts to catch “Anthony”
